It has been a busy, busy few weeks! I have learned the beautiful reward of hard work, tenacity, and positive spirit. My employment has been busy, we have been busy renovating, and I am loving the cooler weather of Autumn. College classes are going well but take the rest of my somewhat free time. The final goal will be worth it!
Work ethics is known as a transferable or “soft” skill. It is an inherent attitude that an individual possesses, and it allows him/her to make decisions and perform his duties with positive moral values that include elements like integrity, responsibility, high quality, discipline, humility and teamwork. Dreams do come true with hard work, a positive attitude, and treating others with respect. Our actions, thoughts and the way we perceive the outcome of our actions are responsible for our outward personas. They don’t just impact us, but also people who spend considerable amounts of time such as our parents, spouse, children or even colleagues.
That’s why the concept of ethics assumes great significance. People are judged by their ethics. It is important to know that how we treat others on our personal time reflects on how we are perceived in our workplace. This includes our social media sites and other platforms. If we batter someone on Facebook, it is sure that we are not going to be a good team player in the employment circle.
I have learned to forgive, overlook, and see the good characteristics in others. I work to be a team member and a team leader. It is working! Great things are happening, and dreams are coming true.
