I love being in our home! Friday night through Monday morning is ours to enjoy. Sunday is my favorite day of the week! Today it is church, football, delivered Chinese (my favorite), scriptures study, and making sure that I have completed all of my college assignments before I start again on Monday morning. Clean sheets, clean clothes, goodies from Amazon, and relishing in the success of Saturday.
There are wonderful happenings for 2023. Perspectives is everything! Sometimes we are faced with long checkout lines at the grocery store, traffic issues, or the long wait at medical appointments, I always have two choices. I could get frustrated and enraged or I can view it as life's way of giving me a guilt-free breath from rushing around. I love watching the clouds or fixing my eyes on the horizon. One year from now, it won't matter what shoes I wore today (-60 boots due to the cold), how my hair looked (I rushed; ponytail), or what jeans I wore. What will matter is how I thought about myself each day, how I lived, what I learned. and how I applied this knowledge along the way.
The truth is, despite the world challenges I face in 2023, the biggest obstacle that I will have to overcome is my mind. I am not responsible for negative people, negative actions but I am responsible for my reactions and behavior. Today is my day to send out the positive vibes and enjoy the warm, comfortable moments with my husband, our home and surroundings.
