I love my college classes.! I have learned much and even better; I have learned ways to handle toxicity in my life. I am grateful for my husband, children, family, and friends that make life wonderful and fulfilling. Mindset and attitude are an important part of working through our journey here on earth.
Some people just cannot see the good in life. They will find something bad about everything and are not able to find joy in anything. I didn't fully understand this concept until the past 10 years. I have learned that some people are easily seen as negative but deal with disorders such as depression and other mental disorders. Even though forgiveness was difficult and a long process, I understand the actions were because of mental illness and manipulation. Insults are the most direct way that toxic people can make us feel bad. There are ways that they can affect our self-esteem that are more subtle or bold as internet posting and revenge. They act smarter to make us feel dumb or insignificant. Toxic people care only for themselves. They do not think about how their actions affect others and believe that they are better than everyone else. Someone who is self-centered such as this is focused on what they want and is unlikely to compromise or consider another person's point of view.
Lessons are good! Life moves on. Spring is coming and I am anxious to get our gardens planted. Vacation is right around the corner. The blessings are amazing. This weekend is the start of our master bedroom remodel and all that goes with it. Easter celebration with family and friends at our place in Utah. Then on to our retirement process in Oregon! Keeping the attitude, hard work, and being all that people don't think we are! That is the greatest accomplishment of all.
